Preparing your Ground

The goal of good soil preparation is good contact between your soil and the bottom of the roll of sod. Any debris such as weeds, old grass, stones or clods will leave an air pocket under the new sod. This will prevent the sod roots from growing into your soil and could cause patches of the sod to dry out and die.
